A conversation with Dominic Walsh about our collaboration on the dance theater production Victor Frankenstein. As co-conceiver, I acted as as dramaturge for the piece, exploring at depth the psychological underpinnings of the characters (as well as the author herself and the context from which her novel was born) and overarching thematic elements. As co-conceiver, I offered theoretic feedback and research, and engaged in a two-year dialogue with Walsh regarding sound, costume, staging, gesture, and other production elements for the piece.
